Telangana state endorsed

telangana_declaredThe Congress Working Committee has endorsed a decision to create India’s 29th state, Telangana, by bifurcating Andhra Pradesh. The ruling party’s highest decision- making body passed a resolution this evening after the Congress’s allies in the UPA government had unanimously backed the formation of the new state.

APSET date extended till 31st

apset 2013Paying heed to the requests for extension of deadline of APSET, officials of the Osmania University, the conducting body of the exam, have extended the last date for online application submission to 31st July. Many have sought date extension as internet is not available in many part of the state due to floods. Considering the situation, the dates have been extended further, said Prof. B. Rajeswara Reddy, Member Secretary, APSET, here on Wednesday.  Read more

However, if the recipients decide to reciprocate the gesture in the same manner, they will be disappointed as the telegram bookings will be stopped by 5 pm on Sunday once and for all. “I have booked 12 telegrams on Saturday to my near and dear ones to surprise them,” said the Bharathiar University student while receiving the receipts of the booking at the Central Telegraph Office in Coimbatore.

Difficult to Ban International Porn Websites: Center to Sc

Pornsites_blocking_difficultGovernment on Friday said that Supreme Court that it is difficult to block international porn sites in the country and sought more time to consult various ministries to find a solution.

Its plea for holding wider consultations came after the apex court pulled up the Government for taking such a long time in dealing with a serious issue. A bench headed by Chief Justice Altamas Kabir granted four weeks time to the Centre to devise a mechanism to block such sites particularly those showing child pornography. Read more
