HP’s new Chromebook 13 offers some of the latest technologies that the company is also putting in its top-line Windows PCs.
The new laptop is just 12.9-millimeters thick and has a 13.3-inch display that shows images at a 3200 x 1800 pixel resolution. That is the highest-resolution screen ever in Chromebooks, an improvement from the 2560 x 1700 pixel display on Google’s Chromebook Pixel.
The base variant of the Chromebook 3 is priced at $499, which is approximately Rs 33,200, while the top of the tier Chromebook 13 G1 would come for $1,029 which is roughly Rs. 68,400.
India on Thursday completed its landmark mission for a regional navigational system on par with US-based GPS with the successful launch of IRNSS-1G, the seventh and last in the constellation of satellites that make up the system.
When the IRNSS-1G becomes operational in about a month’s time, the Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS) would offer services like terrestrial and marine navigation, disaster management, vehicle tracking and fleet management, navigation aide for hikers and travellers, visual and voice navigation for drivers.
Huawei has launched its all-new Honor 5C smartphone in China. The handset appeared on the official website features a metal-body and fingerprint reader and is priced at CNY 899 (approximately Rs 9,300) and will go up for sale next week. The budget handset will be available in Dark Grey and Space Silver.

Xiaomi’s popular Redmi Note 3 budget handset will be available via its first open sale on Wednesday. The open sale, which doesn’t require users to register in advance, will kick off at 2pm IST via Mi.com.
To recall, at its India launch, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 was announced to be available via Mi.com as well as Amazon, and was promised to be available from more e-commerce partners including Flipkart and Snapdeal.
